Shelley Parker
Alectra Utilities
Vice President, Metering
Shelley brings more than 35 years of experience in the electric utility industry, with deep expertise in Operations, Customer Excellence, and Regulatory Services. She began her career as a Powerline Maintainer apprentice and progressed into executive leadership, and currently serves as Vice President, Metering at Alectra Utilities.<br /><br />As Vice President, Metering, Shelley is accountable for Alectra’s wholesale, complex generation, commercial, and residential metering assets. Her team also oversees electronic meter reading and monitoring through advanced systems, including AMI. Most recently, her team has been leveraging Distributed Intelligence through their next- generation meters, including using managed charging to help customers defer or avoid service upgrades. <br /><br />Shelley is a strong advocate for advancing women in technology. She previously served on the board of the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists and chaired OACETT’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. In 2023, she received the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Excellence in Trades award.
