Elvimar Rivas

Elvimar “Elvi” Rivas is a senior analyst in Con Edison’s Steam Technology and Cyber Security Department—home to the largest commercial steam system in the United States. A mother of three, she also brings a unique blend of professional experiences as a published runway model and a trauma-informed yoga instructor. Elvi combines technical expertise with a deep commitment to personal resilience, wellness, and community impact.<br /><br />Beyond her role at Con Edison, Elvi is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion. She founded CapeABLE, the company’s Employee Resource Group supporting individuals with disabilities and their allies, and has contributed over 100 volunteer hours through Con Edison’s Power of Giving Program. Her advocacy extends to empowering marginalized communities, fostering inclusive workplace cultures, and supporting survivors through her work with Voices of Organization Women (VOW).<br /><br />Elvi’s leadership and impact have been widely recognized. She has been featured in national campaigns, received honors such as the ASPIRA Circle of Achievers Award, the Expanding Excellence Rising Star Award, and the Latin Impact Award, and was highlighted for her innovation in the energy industry in Hispanic Career World Magazine. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Monroe College and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Manhattan College.
