Rooftop Solar PV and Smart Streetlights Survey

Itron recently surveyed the load forecasting community concerning the possible impact of rooftop solar PV installations on utility operations. There were 88 respondents that spanned a broad range of small to large utilities and system operators.

Approximately 86% of the respondents indicated that behind-the-meter (BTM) solar generation impacted their organization. We also inquired about what other areas were impacted and posed additional questions regarding load forecasting and street lighting.
